Veterinary Assistant
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team and help us make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners.
As a veterinary assistant you will help provide exceptional care to our patients while supporting our ER veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff to provide fast, accurate, and compassionate care. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise, quick decision-making skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
● Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with medical procedures and exams.
● Prepare and monitor patients for surgery or emergency treatments.
● Collect and process diagnostic samples (blood, urine, etc.).
● Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation.
● Provide comfort and care to hospitalized animals.
● Sterilize equipment and assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment. ● Communicate with pet owners about their pets' care and status.
● Support front-desk staff as needed.
Qualifications:
● 3 years experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a General Practice Veterinary clinic required
● Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
● Strong communication and organizational skills.
● Compassionate and empathetic nature with a love for animals.
● Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
● High school diploma or equivalent required; veterinary assistant certification a plus.
● Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
● - Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical tasks required in a veterinary ER setting.

Veterinary Technician
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team and contribute to the health and recovery of our patients.
We are a brand new, privately owned hospital, where you can help shape the future of your workplace .
As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in the care and recovery of critically ill or injured animals. You will work closely with our veterinarians and other veterinary technicians to provide intensive monitoring, nursing care, and support to hospitalized patients. This role requires advanced knowledge of veterinary nursing procedures, strong critical thinking, and the ability to handle high-stress situations with care and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities

Provide hands-on nursing care for critically ill and injured animals in inpatient and outpatient, including Perform diagnostic procedures such as blood draws, catheter placements, and ECG monitoring.

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting treatment plans, patient Assist in emergency procedures, including resuscitation efforts, trauma care, and surgical support.

Collaborate with veterinarians and other veterinary staff to develop and implement patient care plans.

Monitor patients' response to treatment and report any changes to the attending veterinarian. Ensure proper management of critical equipment, such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and ECG machines.

Provide comfort and support to pet owners, explaining treatment plans, progress, and prognosis in a compassionate and clear manner.

Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment in the workspace to ensure patient safety and infection control.
Education/Certification:

Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) or equivalent experience preferred, but not required.
Experience

Minimum of 3 in an ICU or emergency care setting required.

Strong understanding of critical care procedures and equipment.
Skills & Abilities:

Proficiency in patient monitoring, emergency procedures, and advanced nursing care. - Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations and make critical decisions quickly. Brand new veterinary emergency hospital! We started as an Urgent Care and are expanding to open a new location with 24/7 care. We will be partnering with veterinary specialists to provide excellent comprehensive patient care.

This is a brand new hospital so you will get to start at the very beginning shaping our hospital into everything we want it to be. We will be working in a brand new 14,000 square foot building. Currently looking to hire all shifts with a special need for overnight care.
We set our schedules a little differently than most veterinary ERs. Our shifts include 8 hours of receiving/patient care with a scheduled hour each shift for paperwork catch up and transfers. This leaves you with more time in a day to take care of YOU and your family! Full time hours (30+ hours per week) can be reached with a schedule of 4 shifts one week and 3 shifts the next.
