Dr. Alex Schneider
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Alex Schneider was born and raised in Oklahoma City. Once she graduated high school, she attended Oklahoma State University and graduated in 2015 with her bachelor degree in Animal Science. After graduation, she spent a short time working at an equine breeding facility then joined a small animal clinic in Edmond, Oklahoma as a veterinary assistant in 2016. However, becoming a veterinarian was always her passion and she continued her education at Oklahoma State University to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. She has developed a passion for internal medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine.

Dr. Rachel Perteet
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Originally from McAlester, Oklahoma, Dr. Rachel Perteet graduated from Oklahoma State Center for Veterinary Speciality in 2011. She spent the first six years of her career outside the Dallas metroplex working as a mixed animal veterinarian. It was work in this practice that her interest in ultrasound began. Dr. Perteet then pursued a year long training program in small animal abdominal ultrasound and echocardiography with Sound Eklin in 2017. The next few years were spent doing relief work at a variety of practices including speciality emergency medicine, shelter medicine, vaccine clinics, and primary care hospitals across Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Oklahoma City became her home in 2018 and she has since had the opportunity to work with the veterinary community here. While providing mobile ultrasound and relief work in these practices, the idea for an urgent care hospital was formed. This new hospital strives to be "in between” the primary care doctor they see regularly and the emergency room. She has a passion for ultrasound, surgery, feline medicine, and minor emergencies.

Dr. Emily Davis
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Originally from Shawnee, Oklahoma, Dr. Emily Davis graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. She went on to complete a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at BluePearl in Atlanta, Georgia, followed by one year of a Small Animal Internal Medicine Residency at Oklahoma State. During that time, she discovered her true passion for emergency care. Dr. Davis is particularly interested in the emergent management of trauma patients, respiratory emergencies, and endoscopic foreign body retrievals. She joined CityPaws Urgent Care to help provide timely, compassionate care for pets when they need it most. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Davis enjoys spending time with her husband, Dylan, and their two dogs and two cats. She can often be found outdoors gardening and hiking—or indoors curled up with a good book.

Dr. Joanna Brackett
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Joanna Brackett was born and raised in Shallowater, Texas, a small town outside of Lubbock. She graduated veterinary school in 2015 from Oklahoma State University and continued to live in Stillwater until 2017 as a mixed animal veterinarian for the surrounding rural community. After leaving Stillwater, she worked as a relief Veterinarian for a variety of practices throughout the state of Oklahoma and temporarily, with an equine sports medicine specialty practice in southern Florida until 2018. She then worked as a primary care Veterinarian at a small animal and equine practice in Edmond, Oklahoma. In 2022 she left primary care to work full time at City Paws Urgent Care, focusing on small animal urgent and emergent care. She is passionate about positive client patient care relationships and enjoys the pace and variety of cases small animal urgent and emergency care provides. In her down time, she enjoys time with her family and pets, gardening, and anything outdoors as long as it is not too cold. She loves being part of the City Paws team and is excited to see it growing in is care it is able to provide the OKC metro and surrounding areas.
